With a central focus on addressing homelessness prevention and eviction prevention issues in New Mexico, Winter L. Torres has dedicated her entire career to advancing social justice for the public good.

Originally from Silver City, New Mexico, Winter puts her esteemed Cornell Law School education to work right here in the Mountain West, fighting every day to improve the lives of neighbors in the communities closest to her home – and to her heart. Winter’s fierce commitment to protecting our most vulnerable communities is fortified by her lifetime of experience working to end systemic disparities and inequities in New Mexico and beyond.
